The Branding Story

The inspiration for this new logo can be found in the culture of the Island itself.   As we have embarked on new partnerships this year — first with the announcement of All-Star by Reportex back in February of 2020and now with Island by Reportex —we wanted to preserve the spirit of each unique team. It was important to all of us that each location would maintain its own identity as we created these new divisions under the Reportex umbrella.

For the branding of Island we wanted to show the spirit of the community by showcasing the iconic flower boxes that are a hallmark of downtown Victoria while integrating a key image found in the original logo, the scales of justice. The colours were also chosen carefully to complement all of the logos as a group, with the standout deep blue being a reflection of the sea.
